Privacy
Akoe is run by Edward Yen, who decides what happens to the data described here. Write to hello@getakoe.com about any of it.
If you open a page here
We count the visit: the page, the name of the site whose link brought you (never the link itself) and the campaign tags in that link, if it had any. No cookie, no IP address, nothing that tells one visitor from another. If you’re signed in, we don’t count it.
If you use it to find people
Your email address, to sign you in by a link and, once a week when anyone is waiting, to tell you about new people (one click stops it).
What you tell us about your product: its address, or the words you write. We read the page with Anthropic’s Claude to draft the sentences you confirm.
Your projects and batches: the sentences, the posts sorted for them, and the people you were given, so nobody is given to you twice.
The steps you take (started, confirmed, took a batch, downloaded it), each with a keyed fingerprint of your IP address, used to hold the beta’s limits. We can’t get the address back from it. A project you start also keeps where the visit that started it came from, as counted above.
Two cookies: one that holds your project before you sign in, and one that keeps you signed in. No advertising, no analytics service, no tracker.
If a founder found you through it
See where we got your data, and remove me to stop it for good.
Who handles it for us
Vercel (hosting), Supabase (the database), Resend (sending email), Anthropic (reading a product’s page), TypeSafe (judging each public post against a founder’s problem), redditapis.com (reading public Reddit posts), MillionVerifier (checking an address can receive mail). Data may be processed in the United States. We don’t sell data to anyone.
How long
Your account and projects stay until you ask us to delete them. The profile details and addresses found for people a founder could reach are deleted once 18 months pass without them being looked up again. The removal list is kept for good, as fingerprints only, so a removal lasts.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete what we hold about you, or object to its use, by writing to hello@getakoe.com. If you’re in the EU or the UK, you can also complain to your data protection authority.
